Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited awards up to two bursaries per year to local students who are about to commence a three year degree course.
Value
£1,800.00 per annum over three years, equalling £5,400.00. This is paid in separate instalments of £600.00 per term (in September, January and April). These payments are made directly to the student’s bank account.
Eligibility Requirements
A University place must have been offered and accepted, with the student having gained at least 300 UCAS points (eg 3 x B grades at A Level). Preference is given to students who are studying for degrees in Accountancy, Financial Services, Law, Business Studies etc.
Selection Process
Candidates are required to complete an Application Form and provide a copy of their existing CV for submission to Human Resources. These are short-listed down to candidates for interview, and interviews are held with the Manager - Human Resources and the Deputy Managing Director.
Work Experience
In each year a minimum of 10 weeks paid employment with the Bank may be offered subject to normal employment conditions, and if taken up is paid at the market rate.
Employment upon completion of Degree course
On completion of the degree course and as applicable taking into account performance during any work experience periods and course results, the student will be invited to discuss employment opportunities with Butterfield Bank.
