Bob Moore, Managing Director of Butterfield’s Guernsey operation for the past
14 years, has been appointed to a new global role within the Butterfield Group.
He is succeeded by John Robinson, former Deputy Managing Director, who has been
appointed Managing Director of Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited.
Mr Moore who will continue to be based in Guernsey will assume wider
responsibilities, as Executive Vice President and Head of Group Trust, leading
the development of Butterfield’s Group Trust businesses from its six
jurisdictional offices in Bermuda, The Bahamas, Cayman, Guernsey, Switzerland
and Butterfield International Private Office in London.

where we have been a leading name for many decades going back to the inception
of the international trust industry. We are investing significantly in expertise
and technology across our trust business and we believe the outlook for growth
is very positive starting from the strong base that we have built over the
years, with over $38.5bn of fiduciary assets under our administration for both
private and institutional clients.
Mr Moore will continue to work closely with Paul Hodgson, Managing Director
of Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited which is a significant component of
Butterfield’s global trust and fiduciary services business.
Mr Moore progressed to senior Private Banking positions in the UK, the United
States and Europe before being appointed Managing Director of Butterfield in
Guernsey in 1997. He is a former chairman of the Guernsey International Business
Association.
Mr Robinson is a Chartered Accountant and the current Chairman of the
Association of Guernsey Banks. He joined Butterfield in 2001, having previously
occupied senior management roles at CIBC in Guernsey. As Managing Director he
will assume responsibility for Butterfield’s banking, lending, and custody
services in Guernsey, coordinating closely with the Group’s Guernsey based asset
management and trust capabililties.
