Ian Smith has joined the Custody department as Head of the Relationship Management team, while Simon White takes on the role of Lending Manager at the bank.
Mr Smith previously worked for Heritage International Fund Managers and Close Fund Services. His positions have covered many aspects of the funds business including fund administration, project management, client relationship management and business development. He has extensive knowledge of fund and investment business and in particular Guernsey fund structures. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.
Mr White comes to Butterfield following 33 years at Lloyds TSB, the last six of these were based in Guernsey. An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers he specialises in commercial lending and his new role will involve assessing lending requests for high net worth individuals, trusts and non-personal structures. He is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
